NASCAR Super Late Models drivers will have the chance to double down at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
The 3/8-mile oval's premier division has twin 35-lap features on the docket for Throwback Night, an evening where fans are encouraged to dress in clothing styles from the '60s, '70s and '80s. The season's final on-track autograph session will take place before the races at 6 p.m. Pacific Time, with gates opening at 5 and racing beginning at 7.
With only three race weekends left in the regular season for most of The Bullring's divisions, Saturday's double feature will loom large for the NASCAR Super Late Models class. Jimmy Parker Jr. holds a 240-218 lead over six-time track champion Scott Gafforini - who won on Aug. 25 - and is looking for his first season championship at the LVMS short track.
NASCAR Super Stocks, Bombers and Modifieds also will be in action, and the Southwest Tour Truck Series will be in town for a 40-lap feature. Add in USLCI Legends and Bandoleros features and a Jr. Late Models race, and The Bullring is set for a full night of action.
Vinny Raucci Jr. holds a 222-216 lead over Kyle Jacks in the NASCAR Bombers division, and Michael Todd Glazier leads Jaron Giannini 202-196 in the USLCI Legends class, and those tight points battles should provide added excitement this weekend. Also, fans will be asked to vote for their favorite throwback car/team, and the winner will receive a special plaque to commemorate the occasion.
