Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) Las Vegas Chapter once again provided local children in need with an early boost of holiday spirit last night on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024. SCC Las Vegas distributed $530,000 in grants to 83 local child-related organizations during its annual grant distribution ceremony in the LocaliQ Digital Center at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Hundreds of children and representatives from all grant recipients attended the event on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024. Guests in attendance met with LVMS's very own Pit Boss, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department mascot Metro McGruff, and Santa Claus, who arrived in style this year by helicopter on the speedway.

Each child received a toy provided by Maverick Helicopters, COACH South Premium Outlet, the Bob and Sandy Ellis Foundation, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The children and their families also got the opportunity to drive through the Glittering Lights holiday light show at no cost at the end of the grant distribution ceremony.

Since the Las Vegas Chapter's charter in 1999, over $5 million has been donated to children's organizations in Southern Nevada. This year's fundraising season was filled with exciting events, including Laps for Charity at LVMS, the Drive for Charity Golf Tournament, the South Point Car and Truck Show presented by Star Nursery, Laps for Charity Under the Lights, and the Brendan Gaughan Celebrity Blackjack Tournament, the PJ 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk, The Vegas LargeCar Invitational, and various fundraising opportunities during our NASCAR weekends with 50/50 raffles, live auctions, online auctions, and Track Treasure shops. Speedway Children's Charities is committed to empowering local youth and supporting children's organizations in Southern Nevada.
