Known to be a city that lives on numbers and champions, Erica Enders and Brittany Force know that you need to be on Lady Luck's side if you want to see yourself in the winner's circle on Sunday. Both women got to speak during a press conference earlier today on why The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has been one of their favorite stops in the racing schedule.
Enders is one of the most decorated drag racers ever. She has achieved countless milestones through her standout career, and with nine impressive wins at The Strip at LVMS, the Vegas odds have been in her favor. In 2022, she won both the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in the spring and the NHRA Nevada Nationals in the fall, where she also clinched her fifth NHRA championship. She currently sits as the only female in the world to achieve five world championships, and the determined Pro Stock veteran shows no signs of stopping.
"It's no secret I love the Vegas track. My team and I know our way around the winner's circle very well," Enders said. "Crazy memories have been made in Vegas, but some of my best wins have also been here."
Force and her Flav-R-Pac team have three wins at The Strip at LVMS. Her first victory in Las Vegas came in 2019 when she set both ends of the track record with a 3,652-second pass at 338.17 mph. Her second victory came at the spring Four-Wide Nationals in 2022 before picking her third victory last fall during the NHRA Nevada Nationals. Force is also looking to secure her third consecutive No. 1 qualifying position at the Nevada Nationals.
"We've been very successful in Vegas in the past," Brittany said. "This team is fighting for our first win of the season, and we are looking for four win-lights on race day. We need to do well this weekend, and I am confident we can accomplish that."
Fans attending the NHRA Nevada Nationals will have a chance to meet Erica Enders and Brittany Force all weekend long. NHRA's open-pits policy gives fans an up-close-and-personal view of how teams rebuild engines and an even better chance to meet their favorite drivers as they sign autographs near their pit areas.
