A trio of race victories have the Jacks brothers atop the points standings in their respective divisions at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Kyle Jacks has won the first two NASCAR Bombers events at the 3/8-mile paved oval and stands atop that division, while a win and a fourth-place result for Sam Jacks in the NASCAR Super Stocks class has him leading the points standings as well. Kyle, 16, holds a 60-52 margin over Vinny Raucci Jr., while 18-year-old Sam leads event No. 2 race winner Chuck DeGuevara 57-56 heading into the season's third race.
Other divisional points leaders include Jimmy Parker Jr. (NASCAR Super Late Models), Doug Hamm (NASCAR Modifieds), Branden Giannini (USLCI Legends), Chris Bosley (USLCI Thunder Cars) and Racer X (Skid Plate Cars). Kaden Crouch (USLCI Bandolero Outlaws) and Landon Gresser (USLCI Bandolero Bandits) have swept the first two races in their classes and lead the points standings heading into April.
Drivers will accumulate points through Championship Night on Saturday, Oct. 6.
Next up for the LVMS short track is the Big Rig Racing Season Opener on Saturday, April 14, where the Canada-based North American Big Rig Racing series will kick off its 2018 season. The following week, The Bullring will host its first theme night of the year, Hometown Heroes Night, an evening when all area first responders and their families are admitted free to the track.
Spectators can save money by buying tickets in advance through the LVMS Ticket Office at 800-644-4444 or online at LVMS.com, and all children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult. The Bullring concession stand offers great prices, including $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products.
