Catch the end of our iconic holiday light show, Glittering Lights, which is wrapping up at LVMS! Glittering Lights invites thousands of annual visitors to take a 2.5-mile drive through the light course to celebrate the Christmas magic and bring excitement to a new year. A portion of every ticket sold supports Speedway Children's Charities to help local children in need. Tickets can be purchased online or at the entrance. Glittering Lights ends on January 5, 2025, so bring your family and friends before it's too late!
The NASCAR Racing Experience is back on track on January 11 & 15! Experience the thrill of driving a real NASCAR race car on the iconic Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a 1.5-mile quad-oval track with 12-20 degrees of banking in the turns. After a driver's meeting with training and instruction, you'll set off for timed racing sessions solo in the car. No lead car, no instructor by your side—just you, the track, and one-on-one guidance from a spotter over in-car radio.
If racing in a stock car isn't something you're comfortable with but would feel better driving your vehicle, join us as we kick off 2025 with our anticipated Laps for Charity fundraising event to benefit the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. This event will occur at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Sunday, January 12, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. NASCAR fans and car enthusiasts can drive their vehicles around the 1.5-mile superspeedway at speeds up to 75 miles per hour (behind a pace car) to raise money for local children's charities. Fans can experience the thrill of a lifetime with their family driving their car, truck, or other street-legal vehicles on the same track as their favorite NASCAR drivers!
The Summit Racing Equipment Mayhem kicks off the start of the 2025 year on Friday, January 24 at 6:00 p.m. Experience the thrill of racing in a safe and controlled environment at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This event provides a secure alternative to illegal street racing, encouraging enthusiasts to test their skills on the speedway's NHRA-sanctioned, quarter-mile drag strip. Car and driver (tech card) fees are $25, while ride-along passengers are $15. Spectator tickets are just $5.
Are you looking to get a little sideways and maybe even learn a thing or two about drifting? Come hang out with us for Vegas Drift on Saturday, January 25, at the Dirt track pits, where drivers can sign up to bring out their cars and practice and learn all while at the track.
On Saturday, January 25, we will also have our first Open Test-n-Tune of the year. Come to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with your speed machine!
The next day, on Sunday, January 26, races #1 and #2 for The NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League will begin for the year. This race offers kids ages 5-17 a chance to race half-scale dragsters in a controlled environment at many of NHRA's 130 member tracks throughout the United States and in Canada long before they can obtain a state driver's license. *Membership in the Jr. Drag Racing League is required for competition.
All will conclude on Friday, January 31, with our Bracket Test-n-Tune at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
