It’s getting cooler outside, but the action is heating up at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this week! The thrill of the NASCAR Playoffs will make Las Vegas the center of the racing world this week.
Racing action starts Friday with free admission to the superspeedway for Xfinity practice and qualifying and shifts to the Bullring later that night for the Star Nursery 150 ARCA Menards Series West race. NASCAR’s Cup Series hits the track first on Saturday with practice and qualifying, followed by the Alsco Uniforms 302 Xfinity Series race. The weekend concludes on Sunday with the South Point 400.
The Cup Series is down to eight drivers remaining in the championship race, with six of them having never won the championship. Pennzoil 400 winner William Byron, 2017 series champion Martin Truex Jr., 2021 South Point 400 winner Denny Hamlin, 2021 Cup champion Kyle Larson, Chris Buescher, Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick and Ryan Blaney are the drivers left in championship contention.
