Entries for the second annual South Point Car & Truck Show to benefit the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities have sold out for the Saturday, Aug. 24, event.
The South Point Car & Truck Show presented by Star Nursery was a big hit at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa's Exhibit Halls last year, and event organizers expect big crowds to enjoy a fun-filled day at the elite facility. The event - which will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time - is free to the public and will feature an array of cars, trucks, bikes, semi-trucks and exotic vehicles, all housed in a climate-controlled environment in the friendly confines of the South Point.
Car show attendees not only will have the chance to see some amazing vehicles, but can help cast their votes for the best of the best in a number of award categories, including People's Choice Car, People's Choice Pickup, People's Choice Bike and Children's Choice. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase, and visitors can win a number of amazing prizes while donating money to a great cause.
"We couldn't have been happier with last year's show, and we are thrilled to announce a sellout for our participants this year," SCC-Las Vegas Chapter Director Paulette Anderson said. "We encourage everyone to come to the South Point to enjoy some great vehicles, participate in our raffle and check out our vendor booths as well. It's going to be a wonderful day for car fanatics and families, and this event will help us make a difference in children's lives in Southern Nevada."
Attendees also can participate in a 50/50 raffle, where the winner receives half the jackpot, and commemorative t-shirts will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit the Las Vegas Chapter of SCC, which awarded more than $260,000 to 60 different organizations in 2018 alone.
