The world’s most competitive form of motorsports will make two weekend stops in Las Vegas for the eighth consecutive year in 2025 – with the South Point 400 playoff date starting at 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time, three hours later than this year’s event.
NASCAR officials released the start times and TV schedules for all three national series on Wednesday. Race dates were announced earlier this fall.
“It’s great for our Las Vegas destination to be one of a select few cities chosen to host two NASCAR races each year,” said LVMS President Chris Powell. “Since 1996, Las Vegas Motor Speedway has delivered some of the most exciting racing in the world. We’re thrilled for the race fans who love to enjoy all things Las Vegas to get an afternoon start for the South Point 400. It allows fans more time to enjoy their Saturday night, but also gives those traveling from out of town plenty of time to return home on Sunday night.”
LVMS will host a tripleheader March 14-16, headlined by the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube on Sunday, March 16 at 12:30 p.m. on FS1. The LiUNA NASCAR Xfinity Series race will be on Saturday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m. on CW and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 14 on FS1. The speedway’s annual fall date, the South Point 400, will be Oct. 12 at 2:30 p.m. on USA Network. The South Point 400 also will be the first race of the Round of 8 of the NASCAR Playoffs. The Fall weekend will begin with the Focused Health 302 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m. on CW.
Qualifying, practice and fan events will all be announced at a later date. Season, weekend and individual race tickets are on sale now.
